I've been discovering new things about our gdc sx-2100a's all week that we got last may. Our installers put filezilla server on our desktop we have upstairs and a 2 tb harddrive labeled data. My boss says he thinks the only way to transfer files over the network is to use the Library system from gdc he didn't get, but why would the installer give us a pc with a 2 tb hard drive and ftp server software? We currently use TMS-1000 from gdc for management but any time I try to transfer content using that, the projector says "Network Error". Under the content manager on the actual projector, I went under sources and added a new one called FTP. It connects to the desktop and I can see all the files but when I try to download trailers from it, it states "UID does not match. Exception". I used an ftp downloader that came with the gdc software to download these trailers from other projectors to the desktop.

Am I over thinking this and is it possible? Or do we need the library vault software from GDC to transfer over the network?

Perhaps the installer needed to remotely access some files he was storing on your desktop, though I think it makes more sense to ask him.

And with the "UID does not match" it may be that you have to connect to the ftp with a specific user, rather than connecting anonymously.
