I work at a small two screen indie theatre here in Colorado and we realized that we have to go digital soon. In addition to the new projectors, we also want to revamp our sound system to go to 5.1 surround. Has anyone out there worked with any individuals or companies that specialize in digital cinema conversion that you could recommend to me? We'd like to get some estimates in the next week or and figure out how much money we're going to have to come up with.

Thanks!

I don't know if they cover Colorado, but I've been impressed with the installations I've seen by RS Engineering and Manufacturing .

And, for sound processors, my favorites are the USL JSD-100 and the upcoming JSD-60 (since I'm part of the design team).

Bet you could use the USL ECi-60 digital interface with those processors...
