Hello everybody,

I see that Gefen cinema scaler pro is able to handle the sound.

Yet, i don't understand the bypass mode. The user guide says : "the scaler can accept high quality 8 channel analog and digital audio via the DB25 inputs located on the back panel. These inputs are only accessible from the bypass mode. The audio through theses inputs will be directly passed to the DB25 outputs."

In bypass mode = no video. Only audio.

What does that mean ? Gefen can replace a Dolby DMA8 by handling sound from d-cinema processor ? Or am i completly wrong ?

Thanks for your help.
Frederick.

Yes it can. The bypass button is pressed once for analog multi channel bypass and again for digital sound conversion to analog.
