I was going clicky-clicky through this week's Trail Mix drive preparing to ingest it earlier today and noticed a couple of 4k trailers on it. The regular 2k versions were there as well.

I don't recall seeing any 4k trailers on there before.

4K trailers pop up occasionally on Thingest/Trail Mix. War Horse, Tinker Tailor, and Dragon Tattoo have all had 4K trailers recently.

We ran the War Horse 4K by mistake before realizing there were two different versions. There didn't appear to be issue with the 4K running on a 2K setup.

Yes, that was even in the very early DCI specs - that 4k content can be played on 2k equipment without the operator even taking notice of it. It's also inherent in the j2k compression used.
