I finally watched Tree of Life today and noticed something that has me a bit confused. Very near the beginning of the film, during the dialog scenes when Pitt and Chastain are being consoled for the loss of their son, the audio was not synched with the video (the audio happened before their lips moved). It only happened during these scenes.

I searched online and couldn't find anything about this. So my questions are: Was this intentionally done this way by Malick(did anyone besides my wife and I notice this)? Or was this a bad digital copy?

Unfortunately my wife was able to screen this only about 3 hours before our first show (aren't KDM's great!). So she had mentioned the sound issue during those scenes but there was no time to do anything about it.

Dolby Digital, CP750

I had to adjust our sync also -- as I recall, everything remained in sync with that setting.
