We have been having an intermittent error that has become more of a regular occurence with a couple of our projectors at lamp strike. The units in question are Christie CP2000ZX projectors. When we go to start a feature, the lamp will ignite, stay on for a few seconds, then go off with the error message "State Unexpected". Can anyone help shed some light on this?

Check the amperage. I had one that was set to 50amps(!) at install and when the lamp aged enough it wouldn't stay ignited and gave the same error message.

IIRC the Christies strike the lamp at or near 100% power, and then almost immediately lower the power to the channel setting.
With an older lamp, and the machine set to a channel with a low power setting, the lamp can sometimes act as you describe; an apparent successful strike at first, followed immediately by an unexpected lamp off.
You can try switching the channel to one with a higher lamp power setting before striking the lamp (eg. 3D scope instead of 2D flat)

We are running our projectors in the Global Power Mode, not Lamp Per Channel. Power level is currently set to 2500W(3K bulb). Operating amperage is similar to all other machines running in the same range.
