I am looking at setting up a Doremi Showvault & a QSC DCP300 with 7.1 Audio, the system will also run close caption and Narrative description Audio.Have infrastructure in place.
Dose any one know if there are any restrictions or what needs to be done at the server end?

The audio designations are server independent. The rear surrounds for Surround 7.1 reside on channels 11/12. HI and VI-N reside on either 7/8 or 15/16. That is they are supposed reside on 15/16 on all future titles but they have resided on 7/8...though they shouldn't have...7/8 has always been for LC/RC channels according to DCI spec.

The Closed Caption information (when there is a "CC" or "CCAP" in the title) travels over the Ethernet from the player to the captioning device. Again, player independent but one normally has a configuration to send that information out of a particular NIC port.

The current Doremi Software has a fixed 1:1 audio output assignment. The DCP300 has a signal matrix for all inputs, so it is 'just' a matter of programming the formats with the nevessary routing on the QSC.

Very soon to be released Doremi V2.2.X software has an audio matrix so you can digitally assign any channel to any output, for those that do not have an external matrix.
