Do we have to assume a '!' or a '?' behind the topic?

Or is it a puzzle?

Could this be about a physical shutter on an NEC1600 projector?

Otherwise, I'd say he should be looking lightning photography forums.

He's either saying the light trigger is making a loud noise or the trigger is somehow making the sound in the auditorium too loud. But I'm not entirely sure.

With all due respect to you Steve, you definitely need to find someone around you with better English before people can help you out. As it is, no one can figure out what you're saying.
