Dear Friends,

My name is Imran Mumtaz and i am from Pakistan, working as a head of project and operation.I am new in this business. We have opened first 5 screen multiplex in Pakistan and its working great last three years. Now we are planning to convert one of our cinema in digital and 3D. please guide me that what equipment i have to buy, please consider that equipment should not be expensive, if possible i need your feedback and some equipment detail and its specification. Now we are planning to open another 3 screen cineplex another city of Pakistan.one screen digital and one 3D. I don,t have any idea where should i start. please help me to promote cineplex culture in Pakisan. give me some link of guidance. i will be appreciated.A used equipment in good condition also be a great idea

digital 3D and "not expensive" don't go together.
Do you want DCI cinema content or E-Cinema content? I think a lot of Asian cinemas run non-DCI compliant equipment, definitely cheaper than D-cinema stuff.
For a DCI D-Cinema system you need a cinema digital projector and content server.There are a few suppliers for each. Plus a 3D projection system must be chosen. What you choose for any of these items depends on your specific screen size and what products are best supported in your market. The 3D system decision has a few other factors - initial cost vs license cost, glasses cost, and their maintenance cost if not disposable/recyclable.
