I recently had a need to order some new washers an nuts from Barco for the bulb anode cable attachment to the threaded female connection on the lamp house. Apparently though ordering 1 washer and 2 nuts all the way from Bavaria is a bit tedious. I noticed that Barco refers to the washer as silver plated. Might I do just as well by using some stainless steel nuts and washers from my local hardware store or do I need to find silver plated?

This issue has been around the block once or twice.

The main issue is to get rid of the toothed washers IMHO. Others here may have a different or more informed opinion.
