Christie’s Certified Cinema Re-Seller Network Brings Digital and 3D Movie Experiences to Audiences

Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, is proud to announce the certification of cinema re-sellers American Cinema Equipment, Inc. (Portland, OR), Big Sky Industries (Alpha, NJ), Bruce’s Entertainment & Media Solutions (Castaic, CA), Cinema Equipment & Supplies, Inc. (Miami, FL), CLACO Equipment and Service, Inc. (Salt Lake City, UT), Integrity Entertainment Systems LLC (Niskayuna, NY) and Sonic Equipment Company (Iola, KS). From coast-to-coast, movie theatres in the United States are making key strategic investments in digital cinema so they can provide audiences with a superior movie viewing experience. Christie’s certified re-seller network is at the forefront of this digital wave, offering their technical service, expertise and Christie’s industry award winning digital cinema projectors to cinema circuits around the country.

As the world leader with more than 5,500 digital cinema installations worldwide, Christie has the most comprehensive knowledge, expertise and true understanding of the specific needs of exhibitors when they install digital projection technology. Christie has leveraged this expertise by developing the most rigorous and thorough digital cinema training and certification program available today. Under the certification program, re-sellers receive advanced training on all aspects of digital cinema projection, including specific training designed to address the unique operational environments of each installation. Christie’s cinema re-sellers graduate from the program as authorized digital cinema technicians who possess a solid technical background in projector installation, operation, maintenance and servicing.

“No other projection manufacturer has the depth of experience that we have in wide-scale digital cinema deployments. We’ve taken this knowledge and shared it with a key group of re-sellers—those who are fully dedicated to ensuring the highest levels of quality and service for their customers,” says Craig Sholder, vice-president of Entertainment Solutions at Christie.

Sholder adds, “Christie’s cinema re-sellers are key to the growth and popularity of digital cinema. Their second-to-none knowledge and expertise allow cinema circuits to deliver high-quality digital movie content to audiences that define their viewing experience by a large screen, surround sound and crisp, clear, images that deliver impact, arouse an emotion and ultimately, tell a story,” remarks Sholder.

With digital cinema roll-outs sweeping the United States, China, South Korea, Europe, Australia and Canada, the cinema industry is experiencing resurgence in 3D movie releases. The Christie CP2000 series of projectors offer 2K resolution and Christie Brilliant3D™, helping cinema circuits realize the lowest digital cinema operating costs. “Audiences are willing to pay premium ticket prices and with increased sales at the concession stand, digital and 3D capable projectors are the best value proposition for theatres,” adds Sholder. “Christie’s cinema re-sellers deliver that value and they will continue to play a pivotal role in driving the growth of digital and 3D cinema,” says Sholder.

So, they are claiming digital increases per cap?

Wow, none in here in the Big Apple? Only one in NY is that one in Niskayuna, NY, but they might as well be in Canada. Then there's Big Sky in NJ, but they are nearly in PA. When my time comes to seek out a Christie for my place, I would feel better dealing with someone less than a 3 hour drive away.

frank,
You're likely to have zero problems anyway if you went Christie/Dolby. Even the Doremi Server is now as reliable as the Dolby is. My furthest digital customer is a 7 hour drive!! They are the ones that had the lamp explode a couple of weeks ago... an extremely rare occurance for any Christie Lamp. The lamp blew on Friday afternoon and they were back on screen by 4PM Saturday. And only that late in the day because Fed-Ex drags their ass around on Saturday mornings!

Martin... Yes, in some places that had very sloppy film projection word has gotten around that projection is now bettter and the people have come back.

I can vouch for this one - we use them for our equipment needs here in Michigan, no complaints.

Just to double-check: The Christie units are integrated with the lamphouse, right? 'Cuz the last thing you EVER want is a lamphouse made by Cinema Equipment.

Yep, an all-in-one unit.

All of the new dig units made are all self contained. The early ones had to be mounted on a console, or base with lamphouse.

This Christie CP2000SB UNIT is their pride and joy.

Actually the CP-2000 has a separate Power Distribution, Lamp Power Supply and Water Pump System that lives in the projector base. All the other models are self contained. Look for many new products from Christie Digital before the end of the year. Many of them will be unveiled at Showest the end of the month!!

..bummer, and I can't be there to see all of this. That would be fun to witness.

Whoops, sorry Mark on that. I forgot about your piggyback CP-2000, 3D install..where the power supplies stand separate from those two units.
