I have about 10 or 15 old Betamax tapes I'd like to get onto DVD....would any of you US-based guys happen to have a working Betamax player you'd be willing to loan out for a week or so? I will pay any shipping charges you incur and you'll get it back in a timely manner. Please contact me off the board if you can help me out. Thanks!

What's on them? I transfer Beta (and other formats) to DVD all the time.
Australia uses PAL, so that won't do much good over here.

What's on them?
Mostly home movie type things and a few shows taped off TV that aren't available anymore...concerts and such.

John: I was mostly thinking of shipping concerns - didn't think about the format difference!

How old is the TV stuff? If it's from circa 1982 or earlier and includes commercials I might be willing to transfer them for free.
