I do not know if the sale is on at all Blockbusters nationwide but the store I go to at Kapolei has a large number of used Blu Ray discs at two for twenty dollars. My blockbuster store had a previous sale of used BD's for two for twenty five dollars and I bought a couple of titles including MAMA MIA, INDIANS JONES & THE CRYSTAL SKULL, and a few other titles. Although the discs were used, the ones I bought were perfect with no scratches or smudges and looked brand new. Although they are being sold in a standard DVD rental case, my store was able to provide me with the proper Blu Ray caes that were never handled by anyone and were new. Some of the titles on sale are Disne's BOLT, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, DOUBT, TAKEN, Disney's SLEEPING BEAUTY, THE HAPPENING, BRIDES WAR, THE SHADOW, WATCHMAN, THE CUREOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, MILK and so many more!

Do they give you the original blue plastic BD cases, or the full-size DVD cases with the BD paper inserts? I find the latter unacceptable for purchase.

Joe,

As I had mentioned in my post, my local Blockbuster store has and will provide me with the original Blu-Ray case for each used copy I buy. When Blockbuster had the last major sale on used Blu Ray discs a couple of months ago, I had learned other stores were not providing them from comments posted at the Home Theatre Forum and other similar sites. If the store near you have used BD's on sale, all you need to do is ask if you can buy them with the original case. My Blockbuster store has them stored in the back room so I had no problem buying them with their original cases.

Sorry, but I saw a bunch of ALL CAPS in your post, so I didn't bother reading the entire thing.

Yeah, I know.

Anyway, my Blockbuster(s) didn't seem to have the sale. I might be interested in buying a rental copy of Shawshank Redemption mainly because Blockbuster seems to have a normal, Blu-ray sized sleeve. If they can give a normal Blu-ray plastic box to go with it, I'd have Shawshank for less $$$ and WITHOUT the lame "digibook" that stands out like a fat cheerleeder on the shelf with the rest of the movies. Anything to avoid the digibook.

Bet a couple of years that WallyWorld will be letting BR's in those bargain bins for 5 bucks a piece as they do with DVD's now.

They usually have some for $10. Picked up Reservoir Dogs for that amount.
