Just got finished watching the new Magnum PI boxset for season 1, great stuff. Forgot how fun this show was. I was a little too young to follow with the behind the scenes stuff at the time it aired, but does anyone know where it took place in the ratings?

From the book "The Complete Directory To Prime Time TV Shows"...

1980-81: #14 (21.0 rating)
1981-82: #17 (20.9)
1982-83: #3 (22.6)
1983-84: #6 (22.4)
1984-85: #15 (19.1)

The book listed the 25 top-ranked shows for each season. "Magnum" failed to make the top 25 during its final three seasons.

Great news! Hopefully there's some extras this time around but at least the episodes look good with a nice transfer, etc.
