Hello Gilbert.

Miramax announced that they were going to release "EL CID" DVD in Zone One some time ago but have not released it yet. Immediately after I learned the movie was coming out on DVD, I had an opportunity to sell my Criterion laserdisc and I did in anticipation of purchasing the newer version when it came out. Not only has the film not been released yet, it is not even on Miramax's schedule anymore. I understand it was suppose to come out with "55 DAYS AT PEKING", "THE RISE AND FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE" and possibly "CIRCUS WORLD".. I saw the first two in standard 70mm and "CIRCUS WORLD" in 70mm single projector Cinerama and enjoyed all of them.
