Is anyone here at film-tech familiar with the teaser trailer for Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom? This was a brief trailer with some map footage and a shot of Indy from Raiders saying "Trust me," and was included on the first Raiders Of The Lost Ark videocassette and laserdisc release. My question is, was this trailer prepared specifically for the video release or does anyone remember seeing/running it in theatres? The timeframe here was late-1983/early-1984.

I ask because this trailer is not included (unless it is hidden) in the Indiana Jones DVD set's Trailer Gallery (teasers for the first and third movies are included).

I saw that trailer only on the commemorative Paramount VHS release of "Raiders of the Lost Ark." The cassette was the black one with all the gold shiny graphics. Never saw it any place else.

I've got a very short trailer for Temple of Doom, along with the regular trailer (roughly 1:30 in length), both on 35mm. The short trailer is around 30 seconds if I recall correctly. I remember a few things about it like the names of the people involved, etc. I'll watch it again in the next few days and post here. But there was definitely a short trailer for it, which is strange why they aren't including it on the disc.

I finally got a chance to go through my trailer, and it's the same one you describe Mike. It's on 35mm of course. Strange why they didn't include it on the boxset.
