This film is a comedic slice of 60s fashion & culture. In this respect it stands as a classic of its kind. A barely clad special agent (Jane Fonda) is sent in her Shag Pile lined spacecraft to find a missing scientist by the name of Duran Duran. She eventually finds him and saves the known universe but along the way she runs into Ugo Tognazzi who shows her that 'The old ways are best', burns out a pleasure machine and narrowly avoids being bitten to death by vicious remote controlled dolls. At least it had an imaginative plot!

Don't take this film too seriously and you will enjoy it immensely. And its seriously groovy.

7.5 stars out of 10.

cheers Peter

I remember crossing my fingers everytime I read the TV Guide when I was about 13 or 14 years old. Why? Because every once in a while a network would carry this classic, and I would make damn sure I got my chance to watch it. It's a splendid movie. I have been looking forward to the DVD release. I will edit this post with my DVD review when I get my hands on it.

But I give the movie a 9/10. It's just that damn good! LOL

I just came across a link that suggests that they are considering remaking this film with drew Barrymore in the lead role.

I'll confess to liking this silly romp as well. I got to see it on the big screen in the big apple when it first came out. If I had the chance, I would have nominated it for an award for best costumes.

I've sometimes wondered whether Fonda was acting or whether something was actually happening under the set when she acted during the oragasmatron sequence.

I love this movie way too much. Has anyone else noticed how the DVD's picture is actually stretched out slightly? It's kinda weird. Then again, so is Barbarella.
