PROJECTION MANAGER, IMAX THEATRE AT PATRIOT PARK
NATIONAL INFANTRY MUSEUM AND SOLDIER CENTER

The IMAX Projection Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the Theatre’s state-of-the-art IMAX ® Motion Picture 3D SR Projection System, HDTAC Sound System, and other audio/visual equipment. This includes the operation, care and maintenance of the IMAX projection equipment and non-IMAX audio/visual equipment for all screenings and facility rentals in the Theatre. The Projection Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and scheduling projectionists; maintaining the high quality of film presentations; assembling film prints and trailers; shipping, receiving and storage of film prints and soundtracks; assisting IMAX service personnel with preventive maintenance visits; maintaining the inventory of spare parts; and other special projects.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned IMAX 3D projectionist, a team player with outstanding technical skills, and a capable trainer with a hands-on approach to ownership of the projection area. Preference is given to candidates with a technical trade school diploma in electronics or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years IMAX projection working experience. Candidates should be conversant with electronic concepts, testing and repair procedures, tools and equipment. As a member of the Theatre Management team, the Projection Manager supports the business objectives of the theatre and participates in the planning and administrative functions that relate to technical operations of the theatre.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
