The Science and Technology Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is looking for a full-time Support Electronic Technician. The successful candidate will support the activities of the Council’s technical staff, project committees and external partners. Responsibilities will include operation and maintenance of test equipment and lab facilities, conducting test procedures, and generating and maintaining technical documentation including test procedures and schematics. Required skills include familiarity with light and color measurement, creation and execution of Unix and PC shell scripts and batch files, video signals and standards, and operation of video cameras. Knowledge of film scanners and film recorders a plus. Candidates should have a four-year technical degree or equivalent laboratory support and bench repair experience. NO TELEPHONE CALLS, PLEASE.
