Projectionist, IMAX 3D Theater
Esquire IMAX Theatre, Sacramento, California

The Esquire IMAX Theatre is looking for a projectionist to join our team and operate our IMAX 3D Projection Booth. Located in downtown Sacramento, the 400-seat IMAX Theater opened in July 1999 behind the façade of the 1940 art deco Esquire Theatre. The theater is equipped with IMAX GT P3D projector, 5-deck QTRU reel unit, MK-II reel unit and DTAC sound system.

The Projectionist is responsible for the daily IMAX Projection Booth operations, including responsibility for all aspects of quality film presentation; day-to-day operation and maintenance of the projection and sound systems; and providing support for events held in the theater.

This is an hourly position with a flexible schedule of at least 30 hours per week.

The best candidate will exhibit impressive technical skills with the specified IMAX equipment, in addition to computer presentation and audio/visual equipment. Experience in a commercial large format environment and a sense of humor is not required, but will help this candidate succeed.
