UltraStar Cinemas operates 68 first run screens at 9 locations in Southern California.

We are currently look to fill the Director Of Engineering position.

Duties include:
1) Maintaining and improving the quality of presentation through out the chain.
2) Designing and implement training courses for Managers and Projectionists
3) Managing, training, and certifying booth operators at the 9 locations.
4) Designing and implement maintenance programs for equipment.
5) Overseeing weekly and monthly projector maintenance programs.
6)Overseeing & liaison with Boeing Digital Cinema on issues concerning the 6 Digital Cinema Projectors installed throughout the chain.
7) Trouble shooting and finding solutions to projection problems thru out the chain.
8) Handling emergency calls and reducing off screen time.
9) Tracking and managing bulb life.
10)Managing quarterly projection engineering budget. Ordering parts and repairs.
11)Maintaining relationships with vendors and equipment providers.
12)Negotiating for services and pricing on supplies with vendors.
13)Providing input and specs on equipment for new construction projects.
