Author Topic: Best way to measure film tension in feed/take up system Anhtu Vu Film Handler Posts: 98 From: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Registered: Jun 2013 posted 01-31-2018 08:12 PM                     We are finishing putting together two projectors for our archive department. I need to measure the film tension in the feed or take up reel and measure the tension necessary to move the film through the projector gate with a dynamometer. Any suggestions ? Our goal under normal operating condition is to to have a tension between 6 - 16 oz-feet.  |  IP: Logged Steve Guttag We forgot the crackers Gromit!!! They range from N (Newtons) to e.g. 100g, 500g and 1kg - not sure how that equates in Imperial measurements.
