It is. It adds support for Dolby 7.1 surround. One thing if you don't have global delay and want it there is a version to enable global delay that you have to install first. Then install 2.3.6.6

If you have a Robosound issue, there is "another" version but it was never officially posted and has potential side-effects.

We seemed to loose all channels except for left. Nothing showed up on the panel graphs as far as signal goes also. Reboot would solve it. I reseated all the boards a few days ago and it hasn't happened again. We will see.

Steve do you have a copy of the beta software? While I have heard rumors about it never have talked with anyone that had seen an actual copy.

It is 2.3.7.2. It is not mine to give out. You'd need to consult with Dolby tech support to obtain it.

I, honestly forget what the downsides are of it. Like some medicines, the side-effects are less bothersome than problem it attempts to fix.

BTW...as a general rule, for copyrighted things, like software or even passwords, never ask me for them, I don't give them out. That is for the copyright holder to do.

To clarify I was not asking you to send it, just if you had seen it or positively knew it existed.

I positively know it exists and have installed it and can confirm that it helps with Robosound.

I checked with Dolby tech support and you should be able to get it from them if you want to give it a try.

The down side is you get a pop in the sound when you change between digital formats. Say like going from 88 to 91.6 channel pcm to Dolby 7.1.
