It adds support for Dolby 7.1 surround. One thing if you don't have global delay and want it there is a version to enable global delay that you have to install first. Nothing showed up on the panel graphs as far as signal goes also. Reboot would solve it. I reseated all the boards a few days ago and it hasn't happened again. You'd need to consult with Dolby tech support to obtain it. I, honestly forget what the downsides are of it. Like some medicines, the side-effects are less bothersome than problem it attempts to fix. BTW...as a general rule, for copyrighted things, like software or even passwords, never ask me for them, I don't give them out. The down side is you get a pop in the sound when you change between digital formats. Say like going from 88 to 91.6 channel pcm to Dolby 7.1.  |  IP: Logged
