Does anyone have experiance of using perlux 220 as roll screen? Now there is roll tube with 1 gain screen, which is old and not suitable for dolby 3d. So perlux is sitting in box, but would like to hear opinion would rolling screen will affct it surface. Good point is that screen will be rolled on top only few times a month when cinema is used for other program.

I think if you bought a Perlux 220 electric roll down type screen direct from Harkness that it would be ok. I have installed a few of those electric screens over the years (its a bitch hanging those!). But if there is any friction against the surface on a home made version roll down that eventually that surface is going to become degraded. Harkness has special way of supporting the edges of the screen so abrasion doesn't happen.
