Magnus Eriksson Expert Film Handler Posts: 121 From: Stockholm, Hägersten, Sweden Registered: Jan 2011 posted 11-01-2015 11:34 AM                     What is (was) Dolby Cat 448 used for? It´s an add on to the backplane of a CP65. I "found" it on a CP65 used in a screening room some years back. It seems to have one balanced 6 channel input and two Lt/Rt inputs (balanced & unbalanced). When I look at it I see a 6 channel input with level adjustments. Terminates in the 6 channel input for fmt 10. The Lt/Rt inputs are routed into the CP65 through J16. I guess SR/A noise reduction can be applied to the signal. But how was all this controlled?  |  IP: Logged Sam D.
