hello,

When placing insulation, absorption materials, on the left and right wall of the theatre , should the wall be completely covered or only +-70% of the wall, or from the bottom wall until 60cm above the surroundsspeakers??
Where can i find some more info about this ?

All the cinemas that I was involved with construction, insulation (being drywall, thick fibreglass insulation and two layers of drywall over the fibreglass to soundproof the house) covers the entire wall.

But, does the wall end at the ceiling, or extend past the ceiling, along with the wall ends at the floor, or was the floor cut to allow the wall go below the surface of the floor?

If not, sound will find it's way through corners to the next house.

I've seen lead sheets filling the gap between wall and ceiling to stop sound from 'seeping' through the cracks.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Monte
