What is the maximum current for the old long style 900 W vertical xenons, as are used in various 16 mm machines? I don't have a model number to hand at the moment.

Hi Stephen, How are you? Are there any volt or amp readings on the projector? You really need to figure out volts and then you can figure out the amp setting. Amps X Volts = Wattage. You never want to go past the rated wattage, and if its a new bulb there are alot of theories on stuff like 85% of full rating up to half warrantee life and then rotate the bulb and bump up the amps to 90% of full rating. At our theatre we always ran the bulbs at 90% of rated wattage for the life of the bulb with no rotation.

For Osram XBO 900w/ OFR or CA OFR both vertical, 38-53 amps is the range. 53 max with 45 nominal.
