Even in the declining days of film projection at our drive-in, Film Guard retains an essential place in the booth.

Tonight, I tried to load my "Expendables 2" disks into my DTS players, only to be told that something was wrong with them. A close look revealed what looked like scuff marks on part of the outside.

Nothing to be lost by trying, so a little Film Guard on a cloth, rubbed into the scuffs and... presto! working disks.

Someone on this forum once suggested that Film Guard must have medicinal qualities. Maybe an exaggeration, but not by much!

Now... where can you spray this stuff into your digital projector and make things better?..... [Eek!] [Big Grin]

I kept the FilmGuard and the Kelmar cleaners ready to go until the very end. Last show, I ran FG on the last showing of Hope Springs on 35mm. I was crying. I admit that. Then, I broke down the print.

Got a noisy 'muffin fan' in your DCP unit?

Pull the end sticker off to expose the bearing. Put a drop of FG on that bearing and noise is gone.

Got a wasp nest under the eve of your building? Zap it with FG and the stuff kills wasps dead.

Good for everything else that needs some light lubing around your location. Stuff is not going away that quickly. Still is your best friend to have around.

You mean right now when I read your post, or when you wrote your post or when Manny wrote his post?

Joe I think your last option would best describe the thought I was attempting to convey.

I've been guzzling FilmGuard (not literally) for alot of years. I'm still looking like a kid of 60. I'm only 55 at this time, though.

[bruce]

And Yes, Phil liked to pick on me when he called about being drunk on FG, again....
