Author Topic: JJ owners - optical sound pick-ups with internal 70mm bypass Jim Henk Master Film Handler Posts: 364 From: San Diego, CA Registered: Feb 2006 posted 08-10-2012 04:26 PM                     What pickups have you been using on your Century JJ's outside of the original incandescent bulb, etc? Most of what I have seen (Component Engineering, Kelmar...) have big light barrels, are otherwise bulky, and would totally block any 70mm bypass route. I know that some models (not mine) routed the 70 outside the head, but that seemed to run the mag track right by the motor and it's magnetic field.
