So, my stage curtain has another curtain infront of it that doesn't go as far back as the front curtain. Because of this I have part of my image projecting on to the back curtain. The curtain moves from right to all the way left of the screen and has a screen masking on it too, any suggestions on how i can maybe get that back curtain to move back further when i open it?

Call in a competent screen rigger to adjust the limits on that curtain. It is NOT a "do-it-yourself" project, you can easily cause serious mechanical damage to the rigging if you don't know what you are doing!!
