Hi Guys.

Im a newby from northwest of Australia.
Im in a bit of a pickle.
The Outdoor (worlds oldest operating outdoor cinema)cinema I keep running has a Christie PG35 that was instaled in 1997.
The sound has been so so for a while and the the pre amp card has been rebuilt twice by me but the distortion was getting worse.
The boss brought a new pre-amp and cell PCB,The new assy had the cell mounted on the PCB and the one fitted to this unit was mounted seperate..
Ive had the cell holder out many times befor for cleaning and have had no problems.
Against my advise I was told to change the cell and PCB and knew I was going to have problems reseting the cell with out test film and tools.

The firs thing I noticed was the Pre amp had a lot of drive and had to wind the imputs down on the prossesor. I blew out the monitor speakers running a CAT69 print.
I got is sounding OK but not what Id call perfect. It can be "boomy" and the suround can over drive the centers and the voice clarity can change from clean to a little muffled..

Is there a way I can try and reset the optics without the proper test films and analyzer. the closest help is 2400kls away.
I was shown how to do this procedure back in the 90s and have only been playing with the VIC 5's in the indoor cinema, but most of that was the digital scaner problems which I can sort out.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks Jim.
