That is very sad. They produced the best high speed release prints of any lab.

So what was the last movie they printed? Can someone make sure it stays in the archives or the hands of a collector instead of destroyed when it's finished its run?

All that work has been moved to the Deluxe lab in Hollywood (IATSE). Slowly, and sadly 35mm is fading into the sunset. Technicolor subbed all its Hollywood 35mm (neg & print) to Deluxe Hollywood, only maintaining lab facilities (Glendale) for 65/70mm.

Their Montreal lab is closing in October. Vancouver film labs is also closing in the fall. In Canada that leaves only Vision Global in Montreal and Niagara Custom Labs in Toronto for colour processing and printing. The big boys have left.
