Hello everyone here,
I just brought a DTS XD10 from ebay. Now when I power up the display says "Ready" and also bottom display's " Fmt Unknown "

Any Guru's here can help me to fix this problem with step by step instructions.

Using the UP/Down arrows you can have it display various pieces of information about what is running. Not to worry. Make sure you have it on the latest firmware for best performance and most features.

Yup, All the XD-10's that I have used are pretty reliable as long as they are kept up to date.

>Has it always done this, since you received it, or did it
used to power up and say somthing else? Have you ever had
it hooked up & working normally or has it done this since
you got it?

>Are you able to ingest new DTS disks into it?

>If you bought yourself an XD-10, I assume you know how to
navigate through the menus, so, have you gone into the
"setup" menu and tried running the built in audio output
tests? Is it outuptting audio normally?

You said you bought it on e-bay. I had an XD-10 that was
acting flakey and putting unusual messages on the front
display and occasionally locking-up after being shipped.
I opened it up and re-sat all the internal connections &
never had any further problems with it. Try that.

I've also had power supply failures on two XD-10s in
the past year. But you'd know if you had a bad power
supply, since it will be entirely 'dead'.
