Hello -

Just curious if anyone has ran less than a 1000w lamp in an Eiki 6100 ?

Mainly, the Ushio 750w lamps would work good for me in many instances and seem much more plentiful.

Also, an odd question in relation to this:

Superior and others have many lamps of the same size/amperage/voltage etc.- in 1000w and less. The only difference in many cases is the threaded end vs. lead wire. Considering the terminal is right next to where the threaded end connect anyway, can I just substitute the length ?

I guess my overall question leads back to an ignorance (alas cautionary safety concern) for the substitution of xenon lamps; of course if the size/amperage voltage is within range.

Thanks in advance for any answers to my somewhat vague question.

Regards,

Mike

Mike, I've worked with a 6100 many years ago. If the lamp length and thread on the minus end are right, and considering that the rectifier features a 30-90A adjustable setting (control power on the pedestal), I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
And no worries about cooling since the fan is meant for 1K lamps.
