I haven't seen this anywhere else on the forum, but I just got a note from our booker saying that Deluxe is getting out of the film shipping business.

He says, "During the next several weeks there will be confusion about where prints are shipping from and when they will arrive. Do not expect your prints to just show up like they used to. Please do not hesitate to call and ask about how your print is going to arrive."

So if Technicolor is out of the film making business, I guess that means Technicolor will now be shipping all Deluxe prints, no?

If anybody needed any further proof that film is on the way out, this should be it.

I saw a post that said exactly that; Deluxe prints, Tech ships. Efficient, huh!

Thus, the end of the "grey can/FOX BOX" era?

Then, we're back to two colors: Orange (TECH), and yellow (Cinedigm).

Didn't see anywhere that they where dropping digital hard drive shipping so you should still see a Gray box for the hard drives. So Gray, oranage and yellow will still be around for that.

The operations manager (I believe that's her title?) with MTD (private courier of Deluxe) keeps telling us that it's their week. It's been the last week for a few weeks now. Any day now, I expect the switchover in our part of the country.
