I am having a problem with Cowboys and Aliens, the Dolby drops out for the attached trailer, which is Battleship and stays out for the first 20 seconds of the feature.

I checked and the Dobly soundtrack is on the film and looks normal.

Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks!

...could be a print issue if your system is functioning normally .. it's not uncommon for this to happen.

It's just one of those things...

Friday night I was running through a print of Rise Of The Apes, The first two trailers in are brand new, running through the projector for the very first time they both drop to sr and give a fairly steady F reading throughout. The next two trailers are fairly old and have been run through many times - both run in SRD with no problems, as does the feature.

Just one of those things.

I have a feeling that quality control is just non existant on 35mm now. I've opened 3 prints, 3 weeks in a row that have issues with the dolby digital sound. Replaced reels in all 3, and 2 of them still drop out no matter what house they are in.
