Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 07-29-2011 02:25 PM                     The MPU is the magnetic preamplifier Unit...it houses the actual preamps. The Cat 201 is merely the input card of the CP200 that "looks" at the Mag A/B inputs. The Cat 201 is "line level" in that it is not at mic or mag head level. It can be set to either 100mV or 1V sensitivity using the factory headers.
