Author Topic: Neumade XCN Console - what is max wattage for bulb? Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 07-08-2011 06:30 AM                     It is the rectifier that is going to be your limiting factor (and possibly the availability of the proper lamp adapter). If your rectifier is a G3X-75 then it will be too small. You will want a G3X-77/95 (later name is G3-100 something like that). A 2.5KW lamp's nominal current is 90A and typically max is 95-100A. -Steve  |  IP: Logged Louis Bornwasser Film God Posts: 4441 From: prospect ky usa Registered: Mar 2005 posted 07-08-2011 02:16 PM                        Supposedly the smaller reflector is good up to 3000 watts. Don't do it. It will flake. 2500 is about it. The larger reflector should be good to 4500 watts, more maybe with cooling. Otherwise Steve is right about the rectifiers.
