Author Topic: Christie AM3 automation problem Tom Wienholt Master Film Handler Posts: 371 From: Towson, MD, USA Registered: Dec 2002 posted 04-15-2011 05:06 PM                     The automation works fine when starting the show. However, occasionally the movie will randomly shut down in the middle (happened today about 45 minutes into the movie). This has happened with two different prints so it's not from a misplaced cue. We are using older style Kelmar fail safes, not proximity detectors. Or does it shut down as if the failsafes dropped, setting off the alarm (assuming the alarm actually works)? For what ever reason I have been replacing cue detector switched left and right lately. New switches are lead free and must be made from fructose corn syrup er something. Check the connections on the switches electrical connector tabs. Sometimes the push on crimp connectors get loose and intermittently create an open.  |  IP: Logged
