Author Topic: Comp. Eng. Analog Reader: Cut the jumpers? Randy Stankey Film God Posts: 6539 From: Erie, Pennsylvania Registered: Jun 99 posted 01-07-2011 11:41 AM                     Question 2: While working on the installation of a new processor I found that the jumpers on the C.E. analog reader are still intact. (JP3 & JP4) It is my recollection that those jumpers should be cut to increase the gain of the preamps, thus requiring less power to the LED. If memory serves, C.E. is/was shipping new units without the jumper. So... Just ran new wires to the cell. There's a whole lot less noise than there used to be even with the jumpers cut.  |  IP: Logged
