Perhaps this will vary by brand? (Some weren't very good to start with.) Screens coated with water base coatings like Severtson uses will far outlast screens coated with oil base coatings. The oil base coatings will start to yellow in just a few years time on average. Hotter climates accelerate the yellowing... We recently completed hanging 9 Severtsons and all of them were the most perfect and consistant silver coating I've ever seen. So far I have not noticed any discoloration on ours, but I'm going to make a point of asking our Christie tech if there is any noticed difference when he shoots colors on the next PM cycle.  |  IP: Logged
