Author Topic: New Simplex trap bands covered wIth oil Joe Redifer You need a beating today Posts: 12859 From: Denver, Colorado Registered: May 99 posted 07-17-2010 07:04 PM                        I just received a shipment of new "pressure straps" as Strong calls them and they were all covered in oil. Is this a normal thing for Strong to do these days? That keeps the moisture away and inhibits rust. Most gate parts that are not stainless steel should be stored with some form of rust preventing coating, oil is the most available material for this use.
