I have Strong Ballantyne Projectors. We are experiencing an issue when the film is over the lamp isn't turning off. We replaced the Auto Button recently, thinking this was the problems. Any ideas?

Need more specifics, particularly the model lamphouse and what kind of automation you are running.

Also does the projector keep running or does it stop?

PRO 35's - sounds like a stop relay for the lamphouse in the SMART unit isn't unlatching when the failsafe drops.

As Brad mentioned,it might be helpful to also know the type of lamphouse. There is an issue with older Xetrons not shutting off if the roof exhaust air flow is too strong.

Strong Auto Lamp Button
I remember having a problem when first replacing one in a Srong Highlight console. If you happen to reverse the switch when you install it the contacts are switched. As one side normally open other side normally closed. So with button in it's actually on lamp manual instead of automation control.
