The 1844 will do 4-Ohm bridged or 2-Ohm non-bridged. That is the chief difference between the amps. One used the transistors for current handling, the other used it for more voltage. All of the DCA 2-channels will do 2-Ohm. the DCA-1222 will do 1.6-Ohm!  |  IP: Logged
