Can the DCA 4 Channel Amp work at 4 Ohms impedance in Bridge mode? For the 1644 it says that it is not rated at 4 Ohms Bridged.

The 1644 can not do a 4-ohm bridged (or a 2-ohm non bridged). The 1844 will do 4-Ohm bridged or 2-Ohm non-bridged.

That is the chief difference between the amps. One used the transistors for current handling, the other used it for more voltage.

Got many ISA 4-channels? All of the DCA 2-channels will do 2-Ohm. the DCA-1222 will do 1.6-Ohm!
