Just want to the CE website and it says that the STRD-30 isn't available for an RCA soundhead. Has anyone have a work around for this? I may have access to one from a five star SH.

Thanks

Bernie

Nope, CE does not make a bracket for the RCA to take the dual head (analog/digital) reader. Nor does anyone else, that I am aware of.

Kelmar makes a Dolby Digital Basement reader for RCA. Louis

I stand corrected, Louis is correct, Kelmar does offer one, the ATD-1275. It is a little more pricey than the Simplex but overall, not a bad deal.

So... would this be possible. Get a mount for the kelmar reverse scan readers (with DD) and instead use the component engineering readers along with the CE LED?

I would seriously doubt that these two units are compatible. Hoever, you can try. You will be the test pilot! Louis

Depends on the lens barrel diameters of the readers, but as a WAG I would say it would work...you might need to either use shim stock or bore out the mounts to accommodate the CE units.

My primary concern is that the angle between the lenses is not the same as the LED angles. Louis

Good point Louis, but I think the adjustability of the CE LED assembly would make up for that.
