Bet the system is a bit out of alignment, the LED getting tired, or the current needs to be turned up on the LED.

DDRAS is almost worthless as a primary set up device. You will need a scope and any film with DD on it. Louis

Ram, check all the bearings in the soundhead, lateral guide roller and sound drum. Make sure the lateral guide assembly's spring loaded flange is not stuck.

ANy worn or sticky bearings will cause you problems.

DRAS can be used to see where the block is, focus # and all sorts of stuff.

It relies on a working reader otherwise it has no data to work with.

If you can, keep the laptop on for feature and check and see if the perf block is moving off the edge and then reverting.

5 Star's have a habit of letting the film crawl inward even with lateral guide flanges working properly.
