We are having sound problems in one of the auditoriums and we don't know exactly what is causing it. Everything seems to be working perfectly but the sound inside the auditorium sounds like the film is "stretched" in the left and right channels only. The center channel has perfect audio. What could be causing this problem? We have Century Projectors, Dolby CP650 and Dolby 702 Soundheads. Thanks for any info.

We have a similar setup and are having the same problem. (Brenkert with BACP digital reader, CP650)

Re-booting the CP650 with the bypass button seems to cure it for a while. It can go anywhere up to three or four weeks between happenings. I have put a surge suppressor on the CP650, but it didn't stop it.

It can be some cap's near CP650 DA converters.....but sure that request someone skilled to do service, or normally to get another board and send bad for repair.
