Does anyone know how I can utilize the sdds dfp d2000 automation I/O with the dolby cp65? The sdds has a 37 pin male serial port and the cp65 has a 25 pin input at the j8 port. I imagine dolby or sony makes a logic interface of some type but I have been unable to find such a product.
thanks,

jermery

Don't know does dolby or sony made and boards for this, even is not matter.

First, use D2000 AFTER CP65 and you won't need any automation, since if SDDS drops out, it will switch bypass of all inputs directly to outputs.

On other hand if you like to install CP65 as master, than you need to trigger aux input, and back SR when sdds drops out....than, if not you first need to modify D2000 unit as follows, then on DB37 connector PIN32 you have 5V or so when SDDS plays, and 0V when not plays, you could use simple 4N35 optocupler to match this to CP65 logic input.

This is mod you need to made, in case you're unit don't have it-

Thanks, I'll probably try the aux approach and mod the d2000 if needed.
