Hello ..
I have 2 DTS 6D units and while disassembiling them for cleaning I noticed one of the D536 boards has a missing IC ( U27) while the board from hte ohter unit has it fitted. The only thing I found different on htese boards was the revision. The board that has all the IC sockets fitted with their respective IC is hte Rev.C, while hte one with a missing IC is a Rev. D ..
Could someone tell if this is right or I have a messed up board?
The unit with the Rev. D board apears to be working, but it was only bench-tested using hte DTS test disk and nothing else. ATM Idon't have a way to perform a full test on it as in hooking it up to a sound system and projector. My shop is gone and I don't have much free space at home to work :/
thanks

What you described is normal,to save money DTS eliminated the extra DSP chip on the DTS-6D near the end of production. The extra chip provided a full 6 channel playback for special venue houses. The missing chip will not effect your playback, you will still have full 5.1 audio.
