Author Topic: Strong A3 Variac problem Tom Wienholt Master Film Handler Posts: 371 From: Towson, MD, USA Registered: Dec 2002 posted 01-18-2010 08:36 PM                     One of my strong A3 variacs has developed what i will call a "dead spot." I happened to have a brand new variac in storage so I replaced it earlier today. However, when I turn the power on, the platter was dead. I checked the fuses in the variac and one was blown. Replaced the fuse, and still no power but the fuses are intact. I corrected the problem and the new variac works great. Must have been an error at the factory.  |  IP: Logged
